A very lucky man from Northern Ireland is rejoicing after an incredible £1m Lottery win, an early Christmas present anyone would be happy with. The man, who has asked his name not be revealed, won the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle Draw on 25th November. ‘Mr T’, as the press have dubbed the lucky man, won this incredible prize without ever having touched a ticket. As an increasing number of people are doing, he entered the draw via text message. The new millionaire was not one for celebrations however as he has vowed to continue life in exactly the same way, including staying at work and keeping his win a secret.
Mr T’s statement to the press read “I’m a quiet and shy person. I don’t want any attention”
One gentleman who does know the real life Mr T said he is a very deserving recipient of the win, adding “I’m so happy for him. I’m thrilled to see him prosper, because he is a wonderful person.”
“Well done Mr T” a spokesman for National Lottery said in their statement to press. “Not only has he won a very respectable prize, but he has done so with just a few simple clicks – he didn’t even have to pick up a ticket – It couldn’t be easier.”
The November 25th draw marked the start of the National Lottery’s Millionaires’ Month. An overall total of 50 millionaires are going to be produced in the countdown to the holiday season. Lotto participants from Northern Ireland been amongst a large volume of big wins during the past. Included in this list is former bus driver Peter Lavery from Belfast, who won in excess of £10m in 1996, and Iris Jeffrey from Belfast who famously became the UK’s greatest single lotto win in 2044, adding a whopping £20.1m to her bank account.
